It is no surprise to see the West Indian destructive opener Chris Gayle make this list. With 42 centuries in 530 innings, he scores a hundred every 12.62 innings. Considering the number of matches he has played this average seems rather poor. He has scored 15 centuries in Test matches, 25 in ODIs and 2 in T20Is.

Leaving that aside, there is no way to deny the impact he has had. The moment you think of explosiveness, Gayle is among the first names that come to mind. With 19,321 runs at an average of 38.79, he has definitely done his bit for the West Indies. The Caribbean opener is also known as a funny character for his on and off-field antiques.

He is also the only player to have a T20I hundred, ODI double hundred and a Test triple hundred. While the big man is already 40 years old, he believes that he is fitter than ever. In an interview, he revealed that he might well play for another 5 years and his career was far from over. This left his fans thrilled as they would love to see some more of greats knocks from the man.
