IPL 2020: CSK to terminate all contractual relations with Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina, reports

  • Prior to the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL), the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were dealt with a couple of body blows after Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh backed out of the tournament, citing ‘personal reasons’.
  • Even as the Super Kings didn’t go for their replacements, they have decided to terminate all contractual relationships with them if reports are to be believed.
  • It’s been learned that CSK have not only removed the duo from their official website, but have also started the process of termination.

IPL 2020: CSK CEO clears how KM Asif didn’t break the bio-secure bubble in UAE

  • Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer KM Asif reportedly became the first player in the UAE to broke the IPL 2020 bio-secure bubble.
  • The Kerala pacer misplaced his hotel room key and apparently went to the reception to get a replacement. But the reception area, as per the rules, doesn’t fall under the secure zone and the pacer was deemed to have broken the bubble.
  • He allegedly was also slapped with a six-day quarantine in the wake of the breach.

Two Bengal Ranji Trophy cricketers test positive for coronavirus

  • Meanwhile, two Ranji Trophy cricketers– Mukesh Kumar and Shreyan Chakraborty– tested positive for coronavirus after the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) conducted a Covid-19 camp on Wednesday.
  • During the camp, as many as 63 people, including 21 senior men’s team cricketers and 16 women cricketers, were tested for the novel virus.
  • According to the CAB, the camp was hosted after obtaining the NOC from all relevant departments.
