‘Bounce back Rishabh’ - Cricketers pray for Rishabh Pant’s speedy recovery after major road accident

As per reports, Rishabh Pant is out of danger but will be under close observation in days to come.

Premier India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant suffered serious injuries after encountering a horrific road accident while travelling from Delhi to Dehradun on Friday morning. His car collided with the divider and caught fire near Roorkee in Uttarakhand at around 5:30 am, as per multiple media reports. 

Pant sustained injuries to his head, knee, and shin due to the accident. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital in Roorkee and was later shifted to Max hospital in Dehradun.

Uttarakhand Police issued an official statement which said that the cricketer fell asleep while driving his car at the time of the accident. 

“Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's car met with an accident at around 5:30 am. The incident took place at Mohammedpur Jat near Roorkee. According to what Pant said, he dozed off while driving and as a result the car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was moved to the Roorkee hospital from where he has now been shifted to Dehradun,” said Ashok Kumar, Director General of Uttarakhand Police.

Further reports suggested that, Pant is out of danger but will be under close observation in days to come. Several fans and cricketers have extended their best wishes and are praying for Pant’s speedy recovery.
