Twitter Reactions: South Africa beat New Zealand in the 1st ODI: The South African team defeated New Zealand in the 1st ODI at Centurion by 20 runs. Chasing the target of 305 runs, the Black Caps over-reliance on their skipper Kane Williamson got exposed as after his wicket the visitors couldn’t give much of a fight. South African leggie Imran Tahir bowled excellently and once again proved too hot to handle for the visitors. He ended up with figures of 2/40 in the match.
Earlier it was the match winning partnership of Hashim Amla and Rilee Rossouw who added 185 runs for the second wicket and laid foundation for the other batters to pile up a big total on the board. Amla made 124 runs and became the fastest batsman in ODI history to reach 21 ODI tons in terms of innings. For New Zealand Mitchell McClenaghan and Adam Milne took two wickets each. Now, the hosts lead the 3-match ODI series 1-0.

How satisfying must it be as a bowler to actually break the stump?! #steynremover #proteas #SAvsNZ

Dale Steyn's bowling plan to Ronchi – Short of good length 4th stump straight lines. Slip early on – Plan successful!#SAvsNZ
