Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag who was one of the most destructive batsmen during his playing days has called Muthiah Muralitharan as the most feared bowler during his 14 years long international career. Both were involved in numerous duels with each other during their illustrious careers. His greatest performance against Murali came a year later when he smashed the Sri Lankan attack all round the Brabourne Stadium to score 293. It is also the fourth highest score by an Indian in Tests. Murali was at the centre of controversy for his unusual action which was deemed illegal by many umpires but he fought through his difficut phase and came back stronger and went on to bag 800 wickets in his Test career. Sehwag, on the other hand, was one of the most feared batsmen during his career and destroyed star-studded bowling attacks with disdain during his peak.
