His best was always reserved for Australia, and in this video, you will watch one of the greatest ever spells bowled by a bowler. In 1993, on a Perth pitch which had a reputation of “Graveyard for the visitors”, Ambrose gave a performance which no cricket fan would ever forget.
Australia started of decently, and at 85 for 2, they were looking to post a decent score to defend in the series decider. But what they didn’t expect was a ferocious spell from an aggressive fast bowler. Ambrose, who had a dream series until then, taking 24 wickets in 4 matches; he went ahead to make it even better, as he bowled with unbelievable accuracy and hostile pace. The Australians were left stumped and were caught off guard as to, to how should they deal with this man’s bowling. Australia faced an almighty collapse, getting bowled out for just 119. Eventually West Indies bagged the match and the series, and Walsh was declared the Man of the Match as well as the Player of the Series.
