Watch: One of the Greatest Run-Out’s ever by AB de Villiers: AB de Villiers, the superman of cricket is the poster boy of modern era. If there is any synonym of versatility on the cricket field, then this man is right up there. You just need to do one thing and that is to put this genius on the cricket field then he would ablaze the field for you. He can bat like a bombshell, field as if he was born for there and even keep wickets as if it’s a work of ease and even bowl his wibbly-wobbly seam-ups. The man who explored nearly all the sports in his early life is the fittest of athletes you could ever see.

When he donned the African colours, he was widely regarded as the apparent heir of Jonty Rhodes with his top notch fielding skills and matchless caliber. Even Rhodes tagged him as one of the best fielders in the world. This man possess implausible level of flexibility and agility with he stretches for full length dives and is masterly apt at hitting the bull’s eye direct hits.

I would like to take you back in the memory lanes to the year 2006 when this superhuman surprised the world with his acrobatic direct hit which is considered as one the greatest run outs in the history of the game. In an ODI match against Australia at Port Elizabeth, the then rookie de Villiers was fielding at covers. Simon Katich pushed the ball towards the covers but de Villiers in a fraction of a second dived across stupendously and he not only prevented the batsmen from taking the single while lying and in midst of an encircling posture, he hit the bull’s eye to run-out the batsmen. Katich was left in disdain and dander as he could not believe what his eyes just witnessed.
