'We hope you have a good time' - SRH responds after David Warner doubts franchise will have good time in IPL 2022 mega auction

A fan had wondered whether the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side will have a ‘good’ auction ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And, former SRH player, David Warner responded to this query from the fan.

Warner commented that he doubts whether the ‘Orange Army’ will have a good auction. And, this comment from Warner received a response from the SRH franchise. The official Twitter handle of SRH first congratulated Warner for being a part of the victorious Australian squad that won The Ashes series against England.

The SRH Twitter handle also tweeted that Warner is back to form and will be currently enjoying the party after the Ashes win. The official SRH Twitter handle also hoped that Warner has a good auction when he goes under the hammer.

David Warner-SRH saga hogged the spotlight in IPL 2021

During the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) David Warner was removed as the captain of the ‘Orange Army’ midway through the season, with Kane Williamson replacing him. Warner was subsequently even dropped from the SRH playing XI as well.

The SRH side experienced a torrid time in IPL 2021 and finished at the last spot in the points table in the 14th IPL edition. David Warner is one of the greatest players to have wielded the willow in IPL cricket. The left-handed batter is the 5th highest run-scorer in IPL cricket and has plundered 5449 runs in the tournament at a stupendous average of 41.59 and a strike rate of close to 140.
