West Indies Women have been outstanding thus far in their ODI series against Pakistan Women. The hosts have already taken a 2-0 lead in the series and a win in the next match would help them gain an unassailable lead.

The third ODI is set to take place on Monday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Even as in the first match, it was Stafanie Taylor, who took West Indies to glory, in the second match, Hayley Matthews came to the party with her all-round show.

For Pakistan, barring Nida Dar, no other player has been able to make much of an impact in the two games until now in the series. Their batters have gotten starts, but haven’t been able to carry on from thereon.

After the five-wicket loss in the opener, Javeria Khan and Co went down by eight wickets in the second match. The visitors are in a must-win scenario and need a win, pretty desperately, to stay alive in the series.

Playing combination for WIW vs PAKW

West Indies Women

Stafanie Taylor has arguably been the standout batter for the West Indies with over 100 runs. Hayley Matthews looked in impressive tough last time around as she got 49 useful runs.

Kyshona Knight also got an unbeaten 39. The others need to step up and deliver as well if West Indies’ batting collapses. In the bowling department, Anisa Mohammed has been their standout performer with six scalps with an economy rate of under three.

Taylor has the best economy of 2.93. Karishma Ramharack, Shamilia Connell, and Mathews, and Shakera Selman have two wickets each in their name.

Predicted XI

Hayley Matthews, Kyshona Knight, Kycia Knight (wk), Stafanie Taylor (C), Deandra Dottin, Chedean Nation, Britney Cooper, Caneisha Isaac, Anisa Mohammed, Shakera Selman, Shamilia Connell

Bench: Aaliya Alleyne, Karishma Ramharack

Pakistan Women

In Pakistan’s batting lineup, Nida Dar and Muneeba Ali have scored a chunk of the runs. Both have a combined tally of 148 runs in the series thus far.

Ayesha Zafar scored 46 runs in the first ODI, but couldn’t perform in the previous game. Skipper Javeria Khan’s batting form has been awful as well. Pakistan’s bowling has been below par in the series so far.

Sadia Iqbal has picked up two wickets and has bowled a couple of maidens as well. Nida Dar, Diana Baig, and Fatima Sana have picked up one wicket each. Nashra Sandhu, the leg-spinner, is yet to add to the wickets’ column until now.
