After a gap of two years, Dale Steyn made a comeback into the Proteas ODI side. In the series against Zimbabwe, it never seemed as if he missed out on the action all this while. He was seen soaring up great speeds with the ball in hand. Steyn picked five wickets in the two games that he played in the series, but of course, against a weak opposition.

A veteran of 118 ODIs and 88 Tests, South Africa will be hoping for him to play in England next year. He could be dangerous in those conditions where he is pretty much capable of swinging the ball both ways. However, injuries have severely affected his career over the last 24 months. Various old injuries have been resurfacing and he is catching up on some new injuries as well.

He isn’t someone who gives anything less than a 100 per cent while he is on the field. Hence, it will be interesting to see how his body holds together until the mega tournament next year.
