Pakistan’s legendary batsman Younis Khan is in line to give it back to the game which has helped him earn so much reputation over the years. One of the best Test batsman that the country has ever produced also boasts to be the highest run scorer for Pakistan with an aggregate of 10,099 runs in 118 matches that he played.

Younis, who called it a day on his illustrious career in May 2017, represented his country for 17 long years and give his fans numerous occasions of delight in his entire career. He led his side to the glory in the ICC World T20 2009, which remains to be his biggest achievement as a player.

Looking for a coaching role

It seems that Younis has decided to give it back to the game in every possible way. To pursue the same, he will be participating in a Level 3 Coaching Course on April 16 in Lahore. The course is organized by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and will be conducted by the Australians. Khan will also be accompanied by Former Test-spinner Akram Raza, who is also participating in this course.

Although Raza, one of the umpires from Pakistan’s domestic matches in 2011, who was booked for the charges of betting on Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, was removed by PCB. But it was in 2012 that Raza was reinstated to the PCB umpiring panel after he was cleared of the charges of illegal betting.

The 40-year old has served as the mentor and batting coach for Peshawar Zalmi, who were the runners-up in the recently concluded third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). He is one of the few Pakistani players who has played more than 100 Test matches for their country. His experience of playing in diverse conditions from around the globe can come in handy for any side as a batting coach.

The gentlemen carry an experience of 118 Tests, 265 One-day Internationals and 25 T20I matches which are enough to give a testimony of his skills that can be imparted to any of the players of this generation.
