The India tour of Zimbabwe got underway on August 18, Thursday, in Harare, and India won the first ODI of the three-match series by 10 wickets. The Harare Sports Club wicket usually offers an even contest between bat and ball. The three matches in the previous series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh were played at this venue, and the average total across the six innings was 266. In the first match, India showed that there were runs in offer while there were wickets for the taking as well.
