T20 cricket consists of a mixture of various elements. You have cricketers trying all their tricks in this format. Thus, bowling slower deliveries have now become a trend. However, no matter how many tricks a bowler pulls up, the pace is pace. Nothing can substitute raw and genuine pace. Thus, every IPL team has at least one express pacer on their side.

Over the years, we have seen a rise in the number of Indian pacers who have been able to generate pace. This wasn’t the case earlier but with time, Indian bowlers have realized the importance of speed in the shortest format of the game. So which are those Indian bowlers who have bowled the fastest deliveries in the IPL of late?

Here are the 10 fastest balls by Indians in IPL since 2012:

Umran Malik has now become the talk of the town. The lad from Jammu and Kashmir has already grabbed the headlines despite playing just the two IPL games. Several cricket pundits are even hailing him as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

The youngster delivered the fastest delivery in IPL history. He has clocked 152.95 kph during his side’s match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. It came in the fourth delivery of his second over.

Although it was a full toss, he still did manage to breach Lockie Ferguson’s 152.75. Thus, he has also bowled the fastest ball of IPL 2021 as of now it won’t be surprising if he manages to clock the 152 barriers again in his next match.
