There are few cricketers who can match the popularity of MS Dhoni in world cricket. The former Indian captain is termed one of the greatest leaders to have played the game. Not only he has scored more than 17000 international runs but he has also led the country in over 300 games. On top of that, the Men in Blue have won three ICC championships in three different events under his reign which makes him the only cricketer to achieve this feat.

For all his efforts his legacy will live on forever in the cricketing history. Especially his finishing skills are part of cricket folklore but it also contains some dark chapters of his career. The most notable one being his involvement in the 2013 IPL fixing scandal. Very few people know that when CSK was accused of spot-fixing, fingers were also pointed at MS Dhoni. At first, he avoided questions regarding the fiasco but it further attracted suspicions towards him.

Then in 2017, a report started doing the rounds which included captain cool’s name as one of the perpetrators of the 2013 fixing turmoil. Some shocking revelations came to the light such as Dhoni’s relationship with the bookies with Uttamlal Jain and Vikram Agarwal.

Moreover, it also contained their plan to fix the tie between RR and CSK scheduled on 12/05/2013. Still, the BCCI blamed the Supreme court for not revealing the names in the report submitted by Mudgal Committee at the right time. As a result, no further action was taken in the case and now it will forever remain a mystery.
