In the sequence of events unfolding in the last few weeks, a cold war seems to be on between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. It all started with the famous ‘staring event’ between the two cricketers when RCB locked horns with MI in the recently concluded IPL. The incident came on the table a few days after selectors ignored Yadav yet again from the squad going to Australia. The MI batter gave some cold looks to Kohli in the match.

The incident got the eyes of the fans and started doing rounds on social media. It was believed that he was miffed at Kohli for not being selected and thus started a staring contest with the Indian skipper. Adding fire to the fuel, Suryakumar liked a controversial Tweet which labelled Kohli as the “paper captain.” The Tweet was about how selectors missed hitman Rohit Sharma from the selection even after his proven T20 skills. The 30-year-old faced a lot of backlash from the netizens for liking the same content.

Though he unliked the Tweet, the screenshots started doing rounds in no time. A day after this incident, the Mumbai batsman has tried to make things smooth with the Indian captain. He has commented on Kohli’s latest post and expressed his happiness to see him in action soon. Virat Kohli posted a video on his Twitter handle, which showed the Test practice sessions.

Yadav came and commented, “Energy, Sound, can’t wait to watch Domination. #theBrand.”

Suryakumar Yadav on Kohli’s latest post

He has praised Kohli a lot in the past. In fact, in one of his posts, he called Kohli as ‘God.’ Yadav was at his utter best while plying his trade for Mumbai Indians. He amassed 480 runs for his team in 16 games at an impressive average of 40.00. He has done well in the IPL for the last many seasons and still has not been able to get a call from the national side. The India-Australia series will set action from November 27.

After three ODI and T20Is each, a four-match Test series will take place. Virat Kohli will set his foot in India after playing one Test match to be with his wife for the birth of his first child.
