One may run out of adjectives while describing the pyrotechnics of Ab De Villiers. The South African cricketer can make you fall in love with this game. He is one of the few batsmen who even entertains the opposition with his batsmanship. In short, he is not just a batsman, but he is an artist who wields his willow for creating masterpieces.

In T20s also De Villiers has shown his class. He has been a marquee player in various franchise T20 leagues across the globe. As far as numbers are concerned till now, he has put together 8657 runs at an average of 37. His strike rate of 150 is amongst the best in the format.

Fondly known as Mr.360, the IPL has also witnessed his batting genius. Very few know that ABD is the most capped overseas player in the league. He has made 154 appearances and has crunched close to 4400 runs. Moreover, he is one of the best fielders in IPL as he has taken 84 catches, second-best in the tournament.

To be honest, it is not these numbers that earn him a place in this XI. It is his knack of stunning the opposition with his inhumane shot-making and athleticism. On any given day, he can demoralize quality bowling attacks with his range of shots. He can change the context of a game within matter of overs.
