England’s latest sensation Jofra Archer has been making headlines for quite some time now for his brilliant performance with the ball. Having impressed the selectors in the domestic circuit, Archer was soon given a chance to represent England in the World Cup. With 38 wickets in 11 Test matches, 26 wickets in 15 ODI Internationals, and 5 wickets in 4 T20Is since his debut in May 2019 against Ireland, Archer has caught the attention of everyone.

Despite the stellar records, the pacer constantly has to deal with racial comments and hate from people. However, Archer is not the one to step back and believes in equally giving back to the haters by exposing them publicly. Archer’s chunky jewellery – neck chains, earrings and watches – have quickly become synonymous with him.

On Friday (September 11), a netizen tried to mock him about his jewellery and watch stating that he should stop wearing ‘stolen’ things. In a personal message on Instagram, the user trolled Archer by using demeaning and hateful language.

Giving an apt reply, the pacer took a screenshot of the message and told all his fans and followers to report the account for spreading hate. Archer wrote, “Hey guys can you help me to report this page please.”

‘Apologies’ – The user extends his apologies to Jofra Archer

Seeing this, the troller realized his mistake and apologized to Archer saying that he was not in his senses as he was drunk and upset with Australia’s collapse against Archer in the first ODI International against England on September 11.

The user messaged, “Would like to send my full apologies with huge regret about some outrageous and ridiculous comments posted last night… up late and drunk watching the cricket, mad at the Aussies collapse..no excuses…disgraceful behaviour…apologies once again…”

However, the English pacer wasn’t satisfied with the explanation and refused to acknowledge him. Instead, Archer shared another story on his Instagram handle stating that while drinking you think what you have been thinking all day.

Archer, “If you are thinking that when you’re drunk you were always thinking about it”

Notably, England was up against Australia for the first ODI International of three-match series on Friday. Batting first, Australia racked up a score of 294 on the board at the loss of 9 wickets owing to the spellbound knock of 77 and 73 runs by Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh. In reply, the England team collapsed on 275 within 50 overs and eventually lost the match by 19 runs.
