Baba Ram Rahim beats Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers in the world of sport

Self-proclaimed Godman and tainted head of Dera Sacha Sauda Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is no stranger to the world of sport, even if the sport doesn’t recognise him too well. Unlike big players- Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and his own devotee Virat Kohli; Baba is a master of 32 sports. He can pull the short ones and ‘york’ a batsman at will. Baba has always been the ‘go to man’ or rather ‘go to God’ in any sport.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping two women, and his followers didn’t take it in the right way.  Numerous followers of Baba carried out violence in the streets of Haryana. The number of casualties was high, and his devotees created ruckus all around.

“I have accomplished several feats in my life. As you may have noticed, I am capable of doing so many things. I have participated in 32 different sports at the national level and have coached as well,” Guru Ram Rahim said.
“The youngsters whom I have coached are doing well for the nation today. There is boxer Vijender Singh who is winning so many medals for the country. Then there is Virat Kohli. I have this video of him with me where he came to me to learn so many things and now he one of the best in the world,” Rahim claimed.

Gambhir slams Baba Ram Rahim and his supporters

The Indian captain Virat Kohli didn’t comment on the incidence but one of his fellow team-mates didn’t hold back much. Gautam Gambhir took a sarcastic turn recently and tweeted, “Border per terrorist, andar Baba rapist aur hum uljhey hain cinema hall mein national anthem bajaney k liyey, time 2 act #pulwamaattack” (There are terrorists on the other side at the border, a rapist inside and we are entangled in the debate whether to play the national anthem in cinema halls or not).

He had earlier tweeted, “Wonder what Ram & Rahim are thinking about the ‘Insaan’ & his misdeeds today! A classic case of religion marketing! #PanchkulaViolence,” wrote Gambhir last Saturday.
