Adelaide Strikers climbed to No.3 position in the points table following a 5-wicket win against the Melbourne Stars at the Adelaide Oval. Stars, who elected to bat first, found themselves in trouble against some tight bowling by the Strikers. They crawled to 149/7 in their 20 overs with help of Marcus Stoinis’ 31-ball 47 at the top and an unbeaten 48 at the end by Nic Maddinson. Five out of Strikers’ top six batsmen scored no less than 19 runs as the home team completed the chase with an over to spare.
