Cricket fans worldwide must mark their calendars as the 2021-22 edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) is set to get underway on December 5. This will be the 11th season of the Australia-based T20 competition and expectations are sky high. As far as the qualifying round is concerned, a total of five matches will take place. The first and second-placed sides will battle it out in the Qualifier with a place in the final at stakes. At the same time, the fourth and fifth-ranked teams will meet in the Eliminator. The winner of the Eliminator will then advance to the Knock-out where the third-placed team is slotted by virtue.

The winner of Knock-out match will then lock horns with the loser of Qualifier to determine the other place in the final clash. This way, the two finalists will be out, who’ll go head-to-head in the final showdown on January 28. As most of the sides are studded with T20 stalwarts, predicting the favorites won’t be easy. However, like the previous seasons, the 11th edition of BBL is also expected to be fascinating.
