Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is perhaps one of the most important players in the Indian cricket team at the moment. With the ability to swing the ball in both directions as well as possessing the ability to bowl as fast at 140 Kmph, he is indeed one of the best in the world. Although, in recent times the 28-year old has been marred by injuries, he remains a go-to man when it comes to bowling the crucial tight-overs.

In the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League, Bhuvneshwar was a crucial member of the side that helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad to reach the final of the tournament. Although his team lost out to the Chennai Super Kings in the final, Kumar’s performance was certainly profound to say the least.

‘Any batsman in form is difficult to bowl to’

Recently, the 28-year old was questioned about who was the toughest batsman he has ever bowled to. Many around the world have stated names such as AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, and several other players, but as far as Kumar went, his answer was as candid as ever.

“Any batsman who is in form. Even if he’s the eleventh batsman and is in form, you don’t feel like bowling to him.  Many people have asked me which batsman is the most dangerous. But I have always maintained that bowling to any in-form batsman is dangerous as he is tough to dismiss,” he said.

He also added that he bats whenever the team calls upon him to do so. “I can bat. When I was younger and playing in the state team, they encouraged me to bat. That’s when I realised I needed to bat for the team and make runs after wickets had fallen.”
