Pakistan are in a spot of bother after losing to arch-rivals India by 61 runs on Sunday, February 15. The Men in Green failed to progress beyond the group stage in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup. This time, they are still the favourites to make it to the Super-Eight stage. However, their defeat to India by a heavy margin has made things a bit tricky for them.

So far in the 2026 T20 World Cup, Pakistan won back-to-back matches against the Netherlands and the USA to start their campaign. However, they failed to put up a fight against defending champions India. Salman Ali Agha will have to motivate his team after the drubbing and bounce back strongly in their last game in the group stage against Namibia.

Pakistan are placed No. 3 on the points table in Group A behind India and the USA. While India have already booked their place in the Super Eights stage, the USA are not there yet. Monank Patel and Co. have already played their full quota of four games in the group stage. They have two wins and as many defeats. Pakistan also have two wins but have a game in hand.

So, a win against Namibia will be enough for them to displace the USA and move to No. 2 on the points table. The margin of victory won't be important. However, if Pakistan lose, the USA will progress to the Super Eight for the second time in a row.

However, it won't be easy for Namibia to beat Pakistan. Gerhard Erasmus' men have lost all three matches they have played so far and have already been eliminated. Pakistan and Namibia have faced each other only once in T20Is. The Asian giants defeated the African nation by 45 runs in the Super-12 stage in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
