Royal Challengers Bangalore played some excellent cricket in the 2022 season but unfortunately, they faltered in the second qualifier against Rajasthan Royals and exited the competition.

2. Karn Sharma

Karn Sharma rose to prominence in the IPL 2013 when he took 11 wickets in 13 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad and that too at an exceptional economy of 6.60. He has been a regular feature in the lucrative T20 tournament since then and has done a decent job with the ball.

In his IPL journey so far, the leg-spinner has played 68 matches in the competition and taken 59 wickets at an economy of 7.91. RCB franchise roped in the 34-year-old to add experience to their spin attack. However, Karn failed to break into the XI and warmed the bench for the entire season.

Faf du Plessis & co. had leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga in their arsenal, who had an incredible run with the ball. He bamboozled the opposition with his variations and took 26 wickets in 16 matches at an economy of 7.54. RCB also had Shahbaz Ahmed in their line-up and the 27-year-old did a decent job for the side as an all-rounder.

With Hasaranga and Shahbaz both fairing well, the Bangalore franchise might not stick with Karn going forward who provides the same skill set with the ball as the spin duo.
