The fans got an experience of what the future of PBKS will look like, thanks to some spirited performances from the newly added players. There has been a shift in momentum for the Punjab Kings as Sam Curran took up the role of captaincy as Shikhar Dhawan was injured.
Curran was spot on during the game against the five-time champions. He managed to change the momentum during the middle overs of the innings and this helped batters like Jitesh Sharma to provide a smooth finish to the innings. The English all-rounder managed to score 55 runs from 29 balls against MI.
Later on, during the second half of the game, he was rotating the bowlers well, showcasing fine captaincy. Curran displayed a great example of leadership as his bowlers were able to restrict a strong MI lineup to 201/6. Thanks to his leadership and all-around skills, Curran makes it to this lineup as the captain too.
