Royal Challengers Bangalore assembled a formidable side in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 auction, consisting of many renowned names of the international arena. However, they have been mediocre with both bat and ball in the ongoing marquee tournament and are yet to register a win under their belt after three outings.

If the Bangalore franchise fails to get their act together soon, they could face an early exit from the T20 extravaganza. The think tank needs to take certain steps to get the team back on track. Let us look at the changes RCB can make to change their fortunes.

Preeti Bose is one the dependable spinners in the Indian domestic circuit. Royal Challengers Bangalore liked what they saw in the left-arm spinner and picked her at the WPL 2023 auction. However, the 30-year-old has failed to repay the franchise’s faith and has been having a dismal season thus far.

Preeti has featured in three games in the ongoing marquee tournament and has managed to bag just one wicket, leaking runs at an alarming rate of 10.54. She has been inconsistent with her lines and lengths and the opposition batters have taken her to the cleaners.

Due to Preeti’s poor outings, the team management could replace her with Asha Shobana. Asha was dropped from the team after just one poor game and RCB could give her a consistent run in the team. The Trivandrum-born has weaved her magic in the domestic circuit and could shine in WPL 2023.
