A number of former Indian and Pakistani cricketers have talked about their relationships off the field. Pakistan's express pacer Shoaib Akhtar has frequently told stories about his camaraderie with a number of Indian players, including veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Akhtar and Harbhajan, who are currently serving as analysts for the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League, recently caught up with each other in the United Arab Emirates. Notably, in a video uploaded on Akhtar's YouTube channel, the former cricketers were spotted competing in a sprint race.

"Everytime I post a video with Bhajji, the views are in millions. Aaj tu race haar gaya na, view badhwa diye (Since you lost the race, the views will increase)," Akhtar can be heard as saying.

"40 lakh views aane chahiye," replies Harbhajan, to which Akhtar says: "40 lakh nahi, 4 crore (not 40 lakh, 4 crore)."

Akhtar called time on his professional career following the 2011 Cricket World Cup, due to knee-related issues. After making his debut for his country in 1997, the 48-year-old went on to claim 178 wickets in 46 Test matches, the last of which was against India in Bangalore in 2007. In 163 One-Day Internationals, he grabbed 247 wickets, while in 15 Twenty20 Internationals, he claimed 19 wickets.

Harbhajan Singh, on the other hand, announced his retirement in 2021 from all kinds of cricket. The seasoned off-spinner won the 2007 ICC WT20 and the 2011 ICC World Cup with the Indian team led by legendary captain MS Dhoni. He was a key member of the Indian team in the 2000s across all formats. After making his debut for his country in March 1998, the 43-year-old has claimed a total of 417 wickets from 103 Test matches. In 236 ODIs, he took 269 wickets and 25 wickets from 28 T20Is.
