Player of the Match, Jos Buttler, said
"A little bit of luck to get it over the rope in the end, didn't time it that well, but delighted to get the win. However long you've played the game, you still have those anxieties and stresses. Sometimes you just have to tell yourself it'll be okay. Just keep digging in, working hard, at some point we will be okay. I actually did feel really good in the last game, even though I only scored 13 or something. We've started this season really well. We've been together for three seasons, everyone's comfortable with each other, we just need to keep this momentum going."
Sanju Samson, Winning skipper
"I think anything below 190, with a little bit of dew coming in, with the batting order we have, I felt it was a good total to chase. Touchwood, few more games to go, we are bowling well. And we have got a break, which is helping us charge up and come in fresh. [Are RR a batting or bowling side?] I think bowling is 9, and batting is 8.7. It was just a matter of time with Jos. He just needed to get through the powerplay and middle a few balls."
Kumar Sangakkara from RR
It was a good toss to win, pretty decisive to chase. RCB put us under pressure but the spinners and Burger got us back into the game. And the chase was clinical from Jos, Sanju and others. Everyone requires a chat but it does not need to be about cricket, form is a state of mind and Jos is the best white-ball opener in cricket for some time, you just have to let him be. Jaiswal has had a brilliant year or two not just for RR but also in international cricket, two bad innings does not make anyone a bad player, we know his quality and we just want him to bat long, it was nice to chase down this total without his contribution. There have been a lot of honest conversations, Sanju and I have connected well and have been speaking in the off season as well, the focus has been more inward than outward as a coaching staff this season.

Losing skipper, Faf du Plessis
"I think batting out there with Virat, we found the wicket really tricky and low. We did feel 190 would be a good score. I did feel we could have maximised 10 or 15 more towards the end. It was a good toss to win, you did see that it played much nicer with the dew. Virat was playing really well at the back end. Whether it was Virat or a Greeny or a DK coming in, we could have scored a few more. We tried, but it was quite tricky to hit. With the spinners, a lot of balls were hitting the bottom of the bat. I think the pitch definitely got better. That's what dew does, that's the nature of the wicket. I thought it was a good toss for them to win. We started well in the first four overs, then the one over from our spinners, 20 runs, it shifted the pressure back onto us. Maxwell, all the right-handers batting in the middle, that's why I went to the left-arm spinner, Mayank, who's been bowling well for us this season. And the legspinner [Himanshu], you want to use the attacking option. When we got the wicket of Jaiswal, with the two right-handers in the middle, it didn't feel like the right time to use the offspinner."

And he gets it, Yessssss!!!!!
Jos Buttler reaches his hundred, as the ball goes just past the boundary line. Scores a hundred in his centenary game of the Indian Premier League. What a day for the man who was desperate to get back in form. What a finish to the game. RR win by six wickets, and move on top of the points table.
SCORES LEVEL
RR need 1 run to win, while Buttler still needs six for his hundred. Will he finish the things with a big hit?
Nine needed off 12
Buttler requires eight to reach to his sixth hundred in the Indian Premier League history.
Just 14 needed now
RR are 170/4 after 17 overs, and the win is just a formality, unless RCB pull off a miracle here.
Is there a twist in the tale?
Dhruv Jurel has been caught by Dinesh Karthik behind the stumps. Trying to flick a ball off Reece Topley, Jurel could only manage an edge, as the fourth wicket falls for the hosts.
Run-a-ball
RR require 24 off as many balls to seal their fourth straight win of the season. Dhruv Jurel, meanwhile, has replaced Parag at the crease.
Riyan Parag departs, Yash Dayal strikes
Virat Kohli takes a catch inside the ring to send Riyan Parag back to the huddle, departing the batter for 4(4). And with that, the umpire has signalled for Strategic Timeout.
End of 15 overs
A wicket and seven runs off that over from Siraj. Riyan Parag gets off the mark with a boundary on the last ball of that over.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) are all set to host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match No. 19 of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6.
RR, led by Sanju Samson, enjoyed a terrific start to their campaign, winning all three games they have played so far. They are currently sitting second, only behind Kolkata Knight Riders, who've got six points to their tally. The Royals' last win came against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in an away game.
Speaking more of the MI-RR contest, the visitors restricted the Hardik Pandya-led side to an underwhelming 125 runs after opting to bowl first upon winning the toss. Trent Boult provided early breakthroughs for RR, dismissing Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir for golden ducks on consecutive deliveries in the first over. The Kiwi pacer struck again in the third over, which saw Dewald Brevis go back to the pavilion without scoring a run.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Nandre Burger also provided significant contributions, picking three and two wickets, respectively. Later, Riyan Parag blazed his guns and scored an unbeaten 54 off 39 deliveries to help his side chase down the target in 15.3 overs. This marked the young batter's second consecutive fifty in the ongoing tournament.
RCB, on the other hand, have lost three of the four games they have played so far. Their latest defeat was against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. Opener Quinton de Kock scored a stunning 56-ball 81-run knock as LSG posted a reasonable total of 181 runs. For RCB, Glenn Maxwell claimed two wickets while Reece Topley, Yash Dayal, and Mohammed Siraj picked up a wicket each. RCB batters struggled during the chase, and they were bundled out for 153 runs in 19.4 overs. Mahipal Lomror emerged as the standout performer for RCB, scoring 33 off just 13 deliveries.
RCB will aim to secure victory in their upcoming match, while RR seeks to extend their winning streak in the tournament. In their previous 30 encounters, RCB has triumphed in 15 matches, whereas RR have claimed victory on 12 occasions. Meanwhile, three matches concluded without a result.
