IPL 2025: Nandre Burger to replace Rajasthan Royals' injured Sandeep Sharma

Rajasthan Royals pick Nandre Burger as injury replacement for Sandeep Sharma. Rajasthan Royals (RR) picked Nandre Burger as an injury replacement for Sandeep Sharma for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. 

Sandeep Sharma, who played 10 matches for RR this season and scalped 9 wickets, sustained a finger injury. Nandre Burger, the left-arm South African pacer, has previously played for RR in the IPL 2024 and picked 7 wickets from 6 games. He joins RR for INR 3.5 Crore. 

Sharma sustained the injury during the match against the Gujarat Titans, where he tried to stop the straight drive from Shubman Gill off his own bowling. 

Rajasthan Royals haven't been able to put on a show in the ongoing IPL 2025 and are currently in the ninth position of the points table. The franchise has been eliminated from the tournament, but would be looking to win their remaining games in the season.
