Sahibzada Farhan registered a four-ball duck against India in Pakistan's last game. However, he bounced back impressively against Namibia, slamming his maiden international century. Farhan took his time to get settled on a tricky surface at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. However, once he got his eye in, the Namibia bowlers were thrashed to all parts of the ground on Wednesday, February 18.

After Farhan's unbeaten knock of 100 off 58 balls, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal jokingly said that the Charsadda-born batter could get another documentary film done on himself, and he hoped that the Namibian bowlers would have a role in it.

For the unversed, Farhan featured in a short film after hitting Jasprit Bumrah for three sixes during the Asia Cup last year in September.

"Another documentary is coming. I hope he gives a role to the Namibian bowlers in the documentary," Chahal said jokingly when asked to share his views on Farhan's performance on JioHotstar.

Farhan became only the second Pakistani batter to score a century in the T20 World Cup. Ahmed Shehzad was the first one to do it back in 2014.

This was an important knock for Pakistan's sake as they needed to win the match against Namibia to progress to the Super 8s. A loss would have knocked them out of the tournament, with the USA joining India in the next phase of the 20-team tournament.

Apart from Farhan, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha (38) and Shadab Khan (36*) played crucial knocks to help the Asian giants finish on 199/3 in their 20 overs.

In reply, the Namibia got off to a decent start as the openers added 32 runs in four overs. However, wickets fell in clusters from that point onwards. They slumped to 49/4 before Alexander Volschenk and JJ Smit added a 30-run stand. However, from 79/4, the African nation was bowled out for 97. Pakistan move into Group 2 in the Super 8s, joining New Zealand, England, and Sri Lanka.
