In the 14th match of the 2024 Women's Premier League at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, Mumbai Indians Women dominated UP Warriorz, securing a convincing 42-run victory. Despite a shaky start, Mumbai's Nat Sciver-Brunt and captain Harmanpreet Kaur stabilised the innings, contributing 45 and 33 runs, respectively. Amelia Kerr's quick 39 runs and valuable partnerships lifted Mumbai Indians to 160.
UP struggled in the chase, failing to gather momentum, especially against Shabnim Ismail's formidable opening spell, who conceded just six runs and took one wicket in four overs. With only three batters reaching double digits, UP faced evident batting challenges. Deepti Sharma's valiant unbeaten 53 couldn't rescue UP as she lacked support. Grace Harris and Shweta Sehrawat contributed 15 and 17 runs, respectively. Despite their efforts, UP managed only 118 runs in 20 overs. Mumbai's Saika Ishaque excelled with three wickets, leading to a 42-run victory for Mumbai Indians.
