A visiting Pakistan side secured a convincing 74-run win in the final T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh, held on July 24 in Dhaka. Despite the visitors' dominant performance, Bangladesh had already sealed the series by winning the first two encounters. This was the first-ever series win in the format for Bangladesh against their Asian counterpart.

Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and elected to bowl first. After two low-scoring matches, the pitch at Dhaka offered better conditions for batting, and Pakistan capitalized on it. They made two changes to their line-up, bringing in Sahibzada Farhan and Hussain Talat in place of Fakhar Zaman and Khushdil Shah. Bangladesh, having already clinched the series, rotated their squad with five changes.

Pakistan opened the innings with Farhan and Saim Ayub. The pair provided a strong start, putting together an 82-run opening stand. Ayub scored 21 before falling to Nasum Ahmed. Farhan went on to score a fluent 63 off 41 balls before being dismissed. Mohammad Haris, who came in at No. 3, failed to build on the momentum, and Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs.

However, a late flourish came from Hasan Nawaz and captain Salman Agha, who added 41 runs off just 22 deliveries for the sixth wicket, the Men in Green ended their innings at a competitive 178/7. Taskin Ahmed was the standout bowler for the hosts with three of the wickets, while Nasum Ahmed took two and was economical throughout his spell.

No roaring by Tigers in chase

In response, the Bangla Tigers struggled from the first and were eventually bowled out for just 104. The top order collapsed under pressure, and although the lower order attempted to offer some resistance, it was not enough to challenge the target.

Mohammad Saifuddin top-scored for Bangladesh with an unbeaten 35, but lacked support from the other end. For Pakistan, Salman Mirza led the bowling attack with three wickets at an impressive economy of 4.75. Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz contributed with two wickets each.
