'It's a new normal biwi' - Wasim Akram responds after his wife spotted him on Twitter wearing an underwear

Social media conversations can sometimes be fun. And, the conversation surely grabs the spotlight if a celebrity is involved. One such conversation took place on Twitter on 30th March 2021. Shaniera Akram, the wife of the legendary Wasim Akram posted a hilarious tweet that has garnered the attention of the cricketing world.

Shaniera revealed that she had opened Twitter in the morning and the first thing that she found was her husband in his underwear. She ended the tweet by asking whether it was a normal affair.  “Opened Twitter today and the first thing I saw was a pic of my husband in his underwear!? Is that Normal?” tweeted Shaniera.

And to this, Wasim Akram has responded. Stating that it was the new normal, Akram said that he was wearing shorts and not underwear. You can see the hilarious conversation between Mr. and Mrs. Akram below.

What was the tweet that Mr. and Mrs. Wasim Akram were talking about?

The tweet that the Akrams were referring to was the one put out by cricket analyst and commentator Gautam Bhimani. On the occasion of Holi, Bhimani had posted a throwback picture, where he could be seen standing next to Wasim Akram. He also stated in the caption that it was the time when both the Indian and Pakistani sides were playing Holi in a swimming pool. You can see Bhimani’s tweet below.

Wasim Akram is one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of the game. In a career spanning almost two decades, the left-arm bowling colossus picked up 916 wickets in both Tests and ODIs combined. Akram was also a member of the Pakistan side that won the 1992 World Cup. The bowling great won the Man of the Match award in the final of the 1992 World Cup, by scalping three wickets with the ball and also scored a whirlwind 18-ball 33 with the willow.

Till date, Akram remains the only fast bowler to have taken more than 500 wickets in the ODI format of the game. He is also the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in Test cricket as well and has picked up 414 wickets in the whites for his country.
