Fox Sports, one of the programming divisions of Fox Broadcasting Company, is set to telecast all IPL games in Australia for the first time. Although IPL telecast was previously available Down Under, it’s the first time in five years that Aussie cricket fans will be witnessing each and every game of the lucrative league’s 11th edition, the company stated in an official press release.

Fans can also signup with Foxtel for streaming service and a two-week trial too has been offered for the fans. The IPL is just getting bigger and better with every passing year and this is a perfect example of the fan base this league has. Also, a lot of Australian superstars like Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Shane Watson, Ben Cutting, Nathan Coulter-Nile etc will be a part of the league, another major reason behind Fox Group taking this step.

This is another one to add to their excellent collection of cricketing action. The Fox Sports also telecasts some other major series like the one between Australia and South Africa which is taking place currently. They’re also telecasting the Australian women’s tour of India and England tour of New Zealand.

Action to kick-start on April 7th

The countdown has already begun for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League, which is less than 10 days away from commencement. Defending champions Mumbai Indians and the league’s most well-reputed club Chennai Super Kings will lock horns in what can be touted as a marquee opening clash. MS Dhoni will be leading the CSK lines whilst his opposite number in MI will be Rohit Sharma.

The Ball-tampering scandal which took place in Cape Town resulted in the loss of two huge names for this season. David Warner and Steve Smith were handed a 1-year ban by Cricket Australia and the BCCI also has decided to not let them play in the IPL this season. Warner was the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad whilst Smith was supposed to lead Rajasthan Royals.
