One of the most influential cricketers in the history of Indian cricket, Ravi Shastri has been an integral part of the game for over 3 decades now. Beginning his career as a trust-worthy all-rounder, Shastri earned great fame as a broadcaster as well after a legendary cricketing career. Shastri is often regarded as the voice of Indian cricket and has described few of the most important moments in Indian cricket.

Shastri currently is at the helm of Indian cricket, coaching the senior national side. Under his leadership, the Indian side now faces a humongous challenge which begins in a few days against England. Over the years, England has been one of the hardest places to travel but fans expect something different to happen this time considering the quality of the side.

In a candid discussion with popular host Gaurav Kapur, Shastri opened up about of a lot of things regarding his personal and professional life. One of the best moments in the show came when he reminisced those days when he was termed the ladies man of Indian cricket.

When you have the things, you use it!

Ravi Shastri’s philosophy on life has pretty simple over the years. He loves playing hard and partying hard. When Gaurav Kapur asked him about being in relationships and hanging out, he gave a hilarious reply. “When God has given you things to use, you use it. It’s important you make the most of the tools you have at disposal,” said Shastri.

He also spoke at length about how he tries to stay within his boundaries. Shastri believes going about his business slowly and he feels there’s no necessity to graduate too quickly.

“I have never cared about what people think. That’s the kind of a person I am. My philosophy of life is very simple. It’s not important for anyone to graduate too quickly, if your shoe size is 10, wear a 10, not an 11 or 12,” the former Indian cricketer said.
