IPL 2018: Kings XI Punjab name their new captain for the season

The 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to get underway in a month. With the season fast approaching, the developments around the franchises have been making the headlines. Now, the Kings XI Punjab camp have appointed veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin as their new captain. Ashwin is set to lead the team that boasts of big names like David Miller and KL Rahul. It is worth noting that Ashwin has never led an IPL team before. However, there have often been claims that the veteran offie could be a great leader.

Talking about the team, KXIP have had consecutive poor seasons since the 2014 edition. They had finished as the finalists of the 2014 edition but have only managed to be around the wooden spoon since then.
