The Mumbai Indians have managed to live yet another day by another win in the season. Having lost 6 matches already in the season, they are under the pump to win all their remaining games. They managed to stay afloat in the competition by winning another game against the Kolkata Knight Riders this season. They managed to eke out a 13 run win in the match in Mumbai.

The Kolkata Knight Riders had asked the hosts to bat first in the game. The hosts got off to a flying start in the match with their openers, Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav, scoring 91 runs for the first wicket. While Lewis missed his fifty and was dismissed on 43, Suryakumar ended up top scoring for the side with 59. Towards the end, Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 35 to take the Mumbai Indians total to 181/4 in 20 overs.

In the run chase, the Kolkata Knight Riders had a contrasting start. Their openers perished cheaply. And it was the Indian duo of Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa who got the chase going. But once they were dismissed, the innings failed to take off again. Dinesh Karthik tried but ended up falling short by 13 runs.

Here are the Mumbai Indians player ratings for the match:
