Royal Challengers Bangalore would like to go a step close to the playoff berth as they take on Rajasthan Royals in their next fixture. The royal battle takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (September 29). With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 being in its business end, stakes are high in the remaining league-stage games. RR and RCB are also hunting a place in the final four.

Hence, they have all the reasons to unleash their best in the upcoming clash. Speaking of the campaign of both teams, Virat Kohli’s men are holding third place with six wins in 10 outings. Hence, a couple of victories in the remaining four league-stage games would officially secure a place in the playoffs. However, the grass is not that green on RR’s side.

With four wins in 10 games, the Men in Pink are sixth in the table. Considering their net run rate is only better than Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, one more defeat might be enough to end their campaign. Moreover, they are coming off a seven-wicket defeat against the last-placed SRH. Hence, momentum is not on their side and it would be interesting to see how they fare against Kohli’s army.

Meanwhile, let’s look at important stats and numbers ahead of the 43rd game of the Indian Premier League 2021:

Head to Head record: RCB are just ahead of RR in terms of head-to-head record in IPL. In 24 clashes, the Bangalore-based side won 11 games while the inaugural-season champions emerged winners 10 times. As many as three encounters between these two sides got abandoned.
