The 12th match of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) saw Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locking horns against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, April 19. CSK’s ace cricketer Ravindra Jadeja can be called an all-rounder in the true sense as he makes his presence felt in all the facets of the game be it batting, bowling or fielding.

Jadeja is known for his agility and swiftness on the field. The 32-year-old experienced a busy day on the field against Rajasthan Royals as the ball chased him during RR’s batting innings all over the ground. The spinner took as many as four catches by the end of the clash.

Owing to his brilliant fielding, Jadeja managed to dismiss Manan Vohra, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, and Jaydev Unadkat. During the course of the game, the Jamnagar-born didn’t fail to have some fun too as he tried to do fake fielding to bring some suspense.

The incident occurred in the 15th over of the second innings. On the first delivery of the over by Moeen Ali, the on-strike batsman Riyan Parag tossed up the delivery but mistimed the shot and the ball went straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket. Jadeja, who was standing there, took the catch with ease.

However, after holding the ball securely, the all-rounder pretended to drop the ball outside the boundary rope to have some fun. The video of the hilarious incident quickly went viral on social media and left many cricket fans in splits.

CSK scripts a comfortable victory over RR

The match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) was a one-sided affair as the three-time champions scripted an easy victory by 45 runs. Batting first, CSK posted a total of 188 runs on the board. It was a combined effort by the team as all the players played some quickfire knocks.

Chasing 189, RR were never in the chase as CSK’s bowlers went all guns blazing against the inconsistent middle-order. Moeen Ali was the pick of the bowler with three wickets while Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja had two each under their belt.
