Rohit Sharma stepped up at the right time for India scoring a 137-ball 162 in the crucial fourth ODI game against Windies. In a must-win game for both the teams at the Brabourne Stadium, Rohit struck his highest ODI score in 2018 with 20 fours and four sixes. His 211-run partnership for the 3rd wicket with Ambati Rayudu came in only 163 deliveries which pushed India’s total to 377/5.

2 – He became only the 2nd player to score multiple 150+ scores in an ODI series/tournament. Hamilton Masakadza scored two 150+ scores in the home ODI series against Kenya in 2009.
3 – Rohit now has scored a first-class triple century, 150+ score in List A cricket and a Twenty20 hundred at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. He is the third player to achieve this triple after James Hildreth at the County Ground in Taunton and Michael Carberry at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
7 – Number of 150+ scores for the Indian opener in ODI cricket. No other player has more than five 150+ scores in the ODI format. Rohit’s seven scores of 150+ in List A cricket are the joint most by any player alongside David Warner.
19 – Number of centuries in ODI cricket for Sharma as an opener. These are the joint 2nd most number of ODI tons by an Indian opener. Sachin Tendulkar scored 46 out of his 49 ODI tons as an opener while Sourav Ganguly also scored 19 ODI hundreds while opening the innings.
162 – He became the first Indian to score a 150+ ODI score at home venue. Overall, he is the 5th Indian player to score an ODI century at home venue.
162 – Rohit’s 162 is the highest individual ODI score for India in 2018. He went past Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 160 in the Cape Town ODI against South Africa. Since 2013, he has recorded the highest individual ODI score for India in every year.
186 – Number of innings Rohit took to score his 21st century in ODI cricket. He is the 4th fastest to 21 ODI centuries after Hashim Amla (116), Virat Kohli (138) and Ab de Villiers (183).
198 – Number of sixes he has hit in his ODI career thus far. The right-hander stands at No.7 in the overall list of most ODI sixes by a player and the second among Indians behind MS Dhoni (218). The Indian opener went past Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 195 sixes.
