Bangladesh will host England in the second ODI of the three-match series on Friday (March 3) at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. England won the first game by three wickets after chasing the target of 210 runs in 48.4 overs. Bangladesh elected to bat after winning the toss and lost two wickets by the end of the ten overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored his maiden half-century, which helped Bangladesh reach over 200-run mark. Mahmudullah scored 31 runs off 48 deliveries and was the only other batter to score more than 30 runs.
Like Bangladesh, England lost the first two wickets before the 10th over was complete. They lost a few more wickets before reaching a total of 100 runs. However, Dawid Malan kept on hanging to one end. He scored his second back-to-back century in ODIs this year and helped England cross the line with eight balls to spare. The spin duo of Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked a total of five wickets.
