The 2002 Natwest Trophy would mostly be remembered for Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif and his herculean knock in the Final. The Men in Blue were tottering during their run-chase having lost a flurry of wickets. However, the duo weathered the storm and carved the platform for a stupendous victory. Yuvraj, eventually, fell prey to Paul Collinwood’s wily medium pace
Nevertheless, Kaif shepherded the team till the very end and stayed not-out. Subsequently, the Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer has rewarded the player. Nevertheless, the story had a different angle etched to it which eventually motivated the Indian middle-order to churn out the marvelous knock. The middle-order batsman recently conducted a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter.
Kaif- A bus-driver
During the interaction, one user asked him about his conversation with Yuvraj Singh during the Final. Kaif replied by saying that they were discussing Nasser Hussain’s jibe at Kaif during the game. The English skipper called Mohammad Kaif a ‘bus-driver, a comment which irked the Indian batsman and he pledged to make them pay a heavy price. Here are the Tweets.
@MohammadKaif Hi kaif, what you and Yuvi were talking during Natwest Final ? Was their any sledging from English players ?#AskKaif

There have been several occasions when India and England exchanged altercations. Andrew Flintoff’s shirt-less celebration at the Wankhede Stadium was copied by Sourav Ganguly after his team emerged victorious at the Lords Cricket Ground. The English all-rounder also hurled stern words at Yuvraj Singh during the World T20 2007 after which the southpaw smashed Stuart Broad to the cleaners.
Mohammad Kaif has struggled to stay put in his position and steadily was omitted permanently from the Indian squad. The cricketer played his last international game against the West Indies way back in 2006 at the St Georges Park. The cricketer has recently represented Virender Sehwag’s Diamond team in the St Moritz Ice Cricket tournament held in Switzerland. He currently represents Chhattisgarh in the domestic circuit.
