Indian Premier League (IPL) has raised the bars of competition in T20 cricket since its commencement back in 2008. However, because of that, every fan has witnessed some close finishes and tough battles on the cricket field. But, this time two franchises Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad got involved in a heated banter on social media over their high profile players.

Recently, Ben Stokes had hogged the spotlight after he came out with some strange revelations in his book. In that, he explained, how David Warner’s sleding helped him during his great innings at Headingley during the 3rd Test of Ashes 2019. England had won that game after successfully chasing down a record total of 359 runs and it was just made possible because of Stokes’ determined knock of 135 runs. Also, he stitched a partnership of 76 runs with the last man Jack Leach.

SRH and RR involve in a hilarious banter

In the book he wrote, “He just wouldn’t shut up for most of my time out there. I had extra personal motivation due to some things that were said to me out on the field on the evening of day three when I was trying to get through to stumps,” Stokes explained in his book.

And, this was then followed by a hilarious banter between RR and SRH that was never spotted in the past. The Royals took to their Twitter handle and shared a collage with Stokes and Warner. Also, they retweeted that they can’t wait to read the book and didn’t forget to mention the Hyderabad-based franchise name in order to take a dig over them.

As soon as this post caught in the eyes of SRH social media officials, they couldn’t hold back and came up with a fitting reply in which they wrote, “Why don’t you gift it to @davidwarner31 when he gets his 4th orange cap in #IPL2020?”

There were some more replies to come as the conversation didn’t hold at that point. RR took a cheeky dig by mentioning the name of Stuart Broad, who dismissed Warner in this year’s Ashes on the most number of occasions. They pointed towards the left-arm pacer as he could be available in the upcoming auction.

Also, SRH came up taking a dig in their next reply, where they took the name of Yuvraj Singh, who smashed six sixes in six balls against Broad during the T20 World Cup back in 2007.
