Afghanistan’s rise in international cricket has been one of the stories of the decade, and Mohammad Nabi has played a central role in this fairytale journey. With highly consistent performances with both bat and ball, he has been their most important player along with Rashid Khan.

He has scored 2817 runs in 127 ODIs at an average of 27.61 and picked up 132 wickets while conceding runs at just 4.3. The 36-year-old has played 78 T20Is and scored 1347 runs at a strike rate of 145.3 and has also chipped in with 69 wickets.

He has delivered several crucial performances including a stunning 64 along with 2 wickets against India in the 2018 Asia Cup. His all-round brilliance helped the Afghans tie the game in what is their best result against the top teams. The off-spinner is No.2 in ICC’s ODI rankings for all-rounders and is at the top in the T20I rankings, showing how good he is.
