Rishabh Pant counter-trolls Yuzvendra Chahal after the latter mocked Pant for showing acrobatic skills

Rishabh Pant has had an impressive year thus far. He played for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League and turned out to be one the tournament’s most explosive batsmen. He batted in the middle-order and panned out to be a tormenting factor for opponents owing to his unflinching style of batting. The 20-year old was then roped in the squad for India A’s tour of England.

He churned out a couple of half-centuries in the tri-nation, one of which came in the final against the Lions at the Kennington Oval in London. He was added to the four-day squad as well. He churned out a gutsy half-century in Taunton against Windies A to help his team trace down a stiff target of 321 runs in the fourth innings. The left-hander also notched a fifty against England Lions in Worcester, though in a losing cause.

Pant’s happy times

The knocks didn’t evade the eyes of the selectors and he was drafted in India’s team for their upcoming Test series against Joe Root’s England, which starts from August 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Earlier this year, he played a couple of T20Is for the national team in the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka, but couldn’t quite deliver. Subsequently, he was sidelined for the remaining matches of the series.

Meanwhile, the recent national selection would definitely be a massive boost for Pant and he would be hoping to grab the chance with both hands. Recently, the Uttarakhand-born cricketer posted a video on Instagram where he was seen showing off his acrobatic skills.

In the meantime, Yuzvendra Chahal, who celebrated his 28th birthday today, jumped in from the blues and hilariously trolled Pant. Chahal wrote, “Apollo circus se offer aaya hain bro. Haa kardu after seen ur this video?” (smile emoticons) @rishabpant

Pant tackled the bouncer of the comment with ease and trolled back his teammate. He replied and wrote, “@yuzi_chahal23 yet plz but I ll be joining with you”
