Veteran Bollywood actor Salman Khan made his presence felt in the pre-match show for the first ODI between hosts India and the West Indies at the Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. Salman Khan arrived as a guest in the pre-match show, and among the many conversations held with the panel of experts, the megastar revealed that his favourite cricketer is MS Dhoni.

The 53-year old stated that he knows the Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav personally. Jadhav, who came in to bat at number six, contributed a useful hand of 40 off 35 deliveries in the opening game of the three-match series. His knock consisted of three fours and a six, having given his side the finish they needed.

Salman mentioned MS Dhoni as a “Dabanng player”. Dabanng in layman terms can mean the one who is fearless. “I personally know Kedar Jadhav. Also…..my favourite cricketer is MS Dhoni. He is a Dabanng player,” Salman stated on Star Sports’ pre-match show.

Salman Khan, who has hosted the reality show Bigg Boss is all set to feature in his new film – Dabangg 3. The movie is the third part of the Dabangg series, the first of which was released in the year 2010, followed by the second in the year 2012. The third part is scheduled to hit the theatres on the 20th of December and is expected to entertain the fans similar to the first two segments.

Sudeep picks Rohit and Kumble as his favourite picks

Kiccha Sudeep, who is playing a negative role in Salman Khan’s film expressed his delight by seeing the respect every player has for each other and have each other’s backs through the thick and thin. The actor further pointed out they celebrate each other’s achievements with plenty of optimism. He picked his two favourite cricketers to be Anil Kumble and Rohit Sharma.

“My favourite player is the one who plays well on that day. But what we see as fans is the respect each player has towards each other. We can visibly see the players stand and cheer for the achievements of their teammates – with such a positive attitude, we can freely have our favourites. My all-time favourite has to be Anil Kumble sir, and I also like Rohit Sharma.” Sudeep responded.
