Babar Azam is the most level-headed and disciplined batsman in Pakistan’s line-up. The previous time Azam toured down under for the Test series he struggled, having scored only 68 runs in three Tests. Fast forward to the present, the 25-year old is relied upon to be the spearhead of the visitors’ batting order.

His confident strokes and footwork, especially the cover drive, exudes plenty of faith and belief. While there is no doubt that Babar possesses the skill and the expertise to tackle the likes of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon, the rest of the batsmen also have to back him.

His numbers in whites are not as impressive as in coloured clothing; however, he is likely to make a significant impact this time with the bat. If Pakistan are to record their first Test series victory in Australia, the elegant right-hander has to get a truckload of runs.
