Just recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) picked the best swimmer in cricket. While there were many contenders at the time, the winner was former Indian pace bowler Ajit Agarkar. Not because Agarkar could swim like a fish or Michael Phelps or anything, but because he had the classic Phelps pose. With the Olympics in Rio coming to a slow but eventual close, the ICC has picked a few contenders for the best hammer throws in cricket.
The hammer throw is an event that sees athletes from different countries hurling a hammer as far as they can. Usually, these hammers travel in the distance of approximately 70 odd meters. Wojciech Nowicki of Poland holds the record the furthest throw in the Olympics. However, the ICC has their picks for players with the furthest throw with players who have thrown their cricket bats the farthest within the 30-yeard circle.
As far as the council is concerned, India limited-overs’ skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will certainly go on to sweep the awards clean. Prior to becoming the skipper of the Indian Cricket team, Dhoni was perhaps one of the most loved cricketers of all time. Not because of his swag or long hair, but because of his ability to smash the ball a country mile into the stands.

However, what is more, impressive or has caught the eye of many is the distance the bat travels when it slips off the hands of MS Dhoni each time he swings and the bat slips out of his hand. More often than not, the bat finds its way to the feet of the umpire. The council also went on to pick George Bailey as one of the contenders to represent the ICC in the javelin throw.
