Two Indian cricketers attend Mayank Agarwal's wedding

Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal recently got married to his longtime girlfriend, Aashita Sood. The hard-hitting Karnataka batsman had earlier bagged the headlines for his famous proposal this year. Mayank had proposed Aashita at the London Eye in January this year. He had a tremendous run in the domestic season whilst playing for Karnataka across the three formats of the game.

He made his time even more special by spending time with his girlfriend and proposing to her. The more good news came he was as he bagged a handsome IPL deal too. Back then, Mayank Agarwal had remarked that his love story is not a new one. He has been knowing Aashita, daughter of a police inspector in Bengaluru, for a long time. He had cited that he loves the simplicity that she has.

“We have known each other for about seven years. Aashita is very grounded and one of the nicest people I know and that’s what I like about her the most,” Mayank Agarwal had quoted after his engagement in January.

Meanwhile, Aashita had expressed her excitement about receiving the surprise proposal in the most romantic way possible. She had exclaimed that she had very little idea about it and was over the moon when the moment finally arrived in her life.

“I had no idea that Mayank was coming to London, even though we had been talking about meeting up. Towards the end of December, his phone was not reachable for a couple of days and when I checked with him he claimed that he was having issues with the handset. He was actually on his way to London and surprised me here. The proposal also came out of the blue,” Aashita had exclaimed back then.

At the wedding ceremony, Mayank found the company of his Karnataka teammates, KL Rahul and David Mathias. Both Rahul and Mathias posted social media updates later on the day and congratulated Mayank again on getting married.
