The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is approaching its business end. Only four matches are remaining in the league stage and still just one team, Mumbai Indians, have qualified. As many as six others teams are vying for three playoff spots while the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are already out of the qualification race.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is one of the teams whose resurgence has been inspiring in the second half of the season. After losing six out of their first seven matches, not many gave them even a chance to make it to the top four. They won five consecutive games to stay in the hunt and only lost to Rajasthan Royals in their previous game which led to them being stuck in the middle muddle.
Meanwhile, KXIP’s batting coach Wasim Jaffer has been active on social media especially during the IPL and has been tweeting a meme after each match. The meme hilariously depicted their position in the tournament. After SRH and MI defeated the RCB and DC respectively on Saturday, the race for the playoffs intensified and Jaffer once again came up with a funny meme only to delete it later.
The meme showed six men taking a liking to one girl. It was edited as the six men showed as six teams vying to make it to the top four and the girl was displayed as a playoff spot. However, Wasim Jaffer decided to delete it soon possibly to avoid any kind of controversy.
