Zimbabwe Cricket has taken a massive dip in the last few months as the International Cricket Council had suspended their cricket board. Although the nation has come back to the world of cricket, it is no longer as powerful as it once was. Zimbabwe could not make it to the 2019 World Cup and recently, their team was whitewashed by Bangladesh.

This shows that cricket is dying a slow death in the African side and given that BCCI has a friendship with Zimbabwe Cricket, IPL 2020 could be moved to Zimbabwe. The African nation is yet to record a positive case for COVID-19.

The young fans in Zimbabwe will get to witness the grandest cricket league in front of their eyes while there will not be visa issues as well. Hence, Zimbabwe can be the wildcard in the race to host IPL 2020 if the tournament is held outside India.
